Wrapping up Display Week 2026 as an Award Winner

SID Display Week 2026: A strong signal for TriLite and for the broader laser display ecosystem.

We are proud to announce that the TriLite Trixel® 3 Cube, world’s smallest laser beam scanner (LBS) projection display, received the Best Prototype Award at Display Week I-Zone 2026, one of the industry’s most recognized showcases for next-gen display technologies. The award highlights the quality of TriLite demonstrators and the growing momentum behind ultra-compact laser beam scanning architectures for Augmented Reality (AR) glasses and automotive display systems.

This year also marked the strong presence of the LDAR (Laser Displays for AR) ecosystem at Display Week. As part of the AR Alliance initiative, the dedicated laser display area demonstrated a clear industry direction: laser-based display technologies are becoming increasingly important for applications where compact size, brightness, efficiency, and scalability are critical, especially in AR and automotive.

Another key moment of the event was the panel discussion: “Laser Displays for AR: Competing Architectures and the Path to Volume” moderated by Barry Silverstein, where TriLite co-founder and CTO Jörg Reitterer joined industry experts to discuss the future of AR display architectures and the path toward mass-market adoption.

Throughout the week, the TriLite booth saw strong interest and engagement from leading companies across the consumer electronics, automotive, and technology sectors, reinforcing the increasing relevance of compact LBS solutions.

A big thank you to everyone who visited us, explored the Trixel® 3 Cube, and contributed to the many inspiring discussions during the show.

Display Week 2026 made one thing very clear: the industry is moving toward smaller, lighter, and more efficient display architectures, and laser beam scanning is becoming an increasingly important part of that future.
